We will provide you with a receipt on the first day of the course, which you would submit to your insurer for reimbursement. Some insurance companies will require a separate receipts for each session – rather than a receipt for a lump sum payment. Call your insurance company for more details; we will be glad to accommodate your needs.
How do I pay my account balance?
Occasionally you may have a balance owing with Mindspace, specifically if you paid a deposit for one of our group programs and have been approved. We require that payment for group programs be paid in full before the start of the first full class.
You have two options for how to settle your account. Firstly, you can call our office at 514-481-0317 and provide your name, the course, and credit card information so that we can process the payment.
Alternatively, you can process this payment yourself online by logging into your Mindspace account on the Mindbody platform. This platform is also useful for viewing your visit history, and managing contact information and billing details, including payment history.
To settle your account yourself, simply log into your account using this link to our Mindbody site, which you created when you signed up for the program.
If you signed up over the phone, or were previously a clinic client with Mindspace, you may need to set a password. If that’s the case, simply click ’Need password’ and enter your email address and you will be able to set one. (This also works if you simply forgot your password.)
From there, click on the ‘My Account Info’ tab, select ‘Account’ from the submenu and locate the course with an ‘Event Balance’ remaining. Click, ‘Make Payment’ and you’ll be asked to select the corresponding amount, and enter your billing information. The payment will then be automatically applied to your account, and you’ll be able to sign-in for the first class!
Are your services covered by my insurance?
The majority of Mindspace staff therapists are licensed by the Quebec Order of Psychologists (OPQ), and doctoral interns are supervised by a licensed OPQ psychologists. If your insurance covers psychotherapy sessions, you’ll be able to submit your receipts from your Mindspace therapist for reimbursement.
What is the fee per session?
The standard fee per session is between $120 and $160. The fee to meet with the clinic director is higher, and our doctoral interns see clients for a reduced rate.
What are your hours? Can I see you before or after work?
Mindspace therapists do their best to accommodate their clients’ schedules. Appointments are typically during regular business hours and in the early evening (after work or school).
How many sessions will I need before I see results?
The Mindspace approach to therapy is short-term and goal-directed. Our therapists aim for quick symptom reduction, and will teach you the skills you need to maintain long-term change. You can expect to see some changes within the first few weeks. Typical courses of CBT range from 6 to 12 weeks, depending on your objectives. Many clients schedule a few booster sessions in the months following the end of therapy.
