Dr. Lacaille’s style is collaborative, compassionate, and experiential. He works from the premise that no matter how great the difficulties faced by his clients, there is more right with them than wrong. Building on his clients’ innate resources for awareness, compassion, and resilience, he teaches evidence-based practices that turn adversity into opportunities for learning and growth. His primary aim is to enable his clients to live more rich and meaningful lives, and to learn to handle difficulties they encounter more skillfully.
Dr. Lacaille’s research investigates the mechanisms underlying mindfulness-based interventions. His solid foundation in the scientific method and his commitment to keeping up with cutting-edge psychological and neuroscientific findings enhances his clinical work.
Dr. Lacaille maintains a longstanding mindfulness practice. At MindSpace, he teaches the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program, as well as providing other group and individual mindfulness trainings and workshops. He offers psychotherapy and mindfulness training in both English and French.
