At Mindspace, Dr. Thériault provides individual psychotherapy and mindfulness training. She works with clients in both French and English.
As a psychologist, Dr. Thériault’s style is sensitive, non-judgmental, compassionate, and collaborative. She works with clients experiencing a range of difficulties including depression, anxiety, difficulty coping with personal crisis and adjusting to change, relationship difficulties, and personality disorders. Her interpersonal therapeutic approach integrates mindfulness to help clients gain awareness of their difficulties; recognize patterns in their reactions and behaviours; and make sense of their past and present thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Dr. Thériault also helps her clients tap into their unique strengths and coping skills to explore creative avenues for meeting life’s challenges, regaining balance, and creating a meaningful life.
Dr. Thériault has completed extensive professional training in Object Relation Gestalt Psychology (PGRO; Centre d’Intégration Gestaltiste, Montreal), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, (MBSR; Center for Mindfulness, University of Massachusetts) and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT; Centre for Mindfulness Studies, Toronto). She has a longstanding personal mindfulness practice and has attended a number of mindfulness trainings and retreats at the Centre de Méditation Kadampa de Montréal, the Quebec Vipassana Meditation Centre, and the University of Massachusetts Center for Mindfulness.
