Lisanne holds a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from McGill University, she is a member of the Ordre des conseillers et conseillères d’orientation du Québec (OCCOQ), and she is currently pursuing a psychotherapy license from the Ordre des psychologues du Québec (OPQ) under the clinical supervision of psychologist Debra Gartenberg. She primarily uses an existential-humanistic framework and incorporates elements from different evidence-based approaches, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Lisanne has worked with individuals from across the globe dealing with a wide range of challenges, including depression, anxiety, and life transitions. She has supported political refugees as an interpreter for over a decade, which helped her deepen her multicultural competencies, as well as her understanding of trauma and systemic barriers. She is also a professional musician and has gained insight into the specific demands of artistic and high-performance careers over the last 20 years. Lisanne cares deeply about the environment and social justice, and she is committed to serving people from all identities and backgrounds to the best of her abilities. She practices mindfulness and offers services in English, French, and Spanish.
