Dr. Loredana Marchica, received her PhD in School/Applied Child Psychology from McGill University. She completed her clinical training at McGill’s Psychoeducational Counselling Clinic, the Montreal Jewish General Hospitals Child Psychiatry Day Program, and in the Department of Psychology at the Montreal Children’s Hospital. Further, she has over 5 years clinical experience working with children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorders.

Dr. Marchica is a licensed psychologist and member of the Quebec Order of Psychologists. At Mindspace, she offers individual therapy for children, teenagers, and families that emphasizes an integrative approach adjustable to the needs of her clients. Specifically, she works within cognitive-behavioral and acceptance-commitment therapy approaches. She also works as a psychologist at the Montreal Children’s Hospital and is a part-time course lecturer at McGill University’s Department of Education and Counselling Psychology.

Loredana has clinical experience with a variety of issues such as anxiety disorders, chronic pain, mood disorders, behavioral disorders, emotion regulation difficulties, behavioral addictions (video gaming and gambling), developmental disorders, and social skills training. Loredana’s approach emphasizes the importance of the therapeutic relationship and is committed to providing an environment of trust and collaboration.

Loredana also offers comprehensive psychological assessments for children and adolescents who have cognitive, academic, and/or attentional difficulties. The aim of these assessments is to present parents with the information to better understand their child’s needs, promote better school adjustment, and provide individually tailored and realistic recommendations.
