Join Dr. Claude Cyr and Mindspace for a one-day training on cannabis and mental health for healthcare professionals (family doctors, psychiatrists, psychologists, psychotherapists, therapists, coaches, social workers, occupational therapists, nurses, and anyone who is interested). Dr. Cyr will cover all the basics, so you will be prepared to advise patients or clients appropriately. Learning objectives include:

  • Reviewing the basic and clinical science of cannabis
  • Understanding the role of cannabis in a variety of mental health problems including anxiety, depression, ADHD, etc.
  • Identifying the risks of cannabis for the adolescent brain
  • Dealing with cannabis addiction

This program has been approved for 5 hours of Continuing Education Credits by the OPQ.

Dr. Claude Cyr

Dr Cyr is the founder of Doctors for Responsible Access. He has been practicing family medicine in Quebec for 20 years, with an interest in pain management, geriatrics and mental health. He is an associate researcher for the Quebec Cannabis Registry and former consultant for Telus Health Solutions. He is a part time faculty lecturer for the McGill University Department of Family Medicine and is the father of two teenagers.
