So you’ve heard about the benefits of meditation and mindfulness but aren’t quite sure where to start? Introduction to Mindfulness is an opportunity for beginners to learn the basics of mindfulness from an experienced professional in a no pressure environment. You’ll have the chance to practice guided meditation, get answers to your questions, and to learn more about some of the health benefits of mindfulness. It’s also an opportunity to learn about some options for taking the practice further if you decide it’s something you’d like to integrate into your life.

  • How to respond more effectively to stress
  • How to connect to the present moment more effectively
  • How to incorporate mindfulness into everyday activities

Jonathan Stewart

Jonathan Stewart is a meditation coach and writer who has been meditating for more than 20 years and facilitating and teaching meditation and mindfulness for almost a decade. He lead weekly meditation classes and "intro to meditation" courses at Presence, Montreal's first drop-in meditation studio, facilitates mindfulness sessions for McGill students every semester, and has a weekly public meditation group.
