Mindful Self-Compassion is an 8-week mindfulness program designed to help participants cultivate self-compassion. The MSC program is based on the innovative research findings and clinical expertise of self-compassion experts Kristin Neff and Christopher Germer. MSC participants will learn the essential principles of self-compassion, with practices designed to help you meet difficult periods in your life with wise attention, understanding, and lovingkindness.
The MSC program involves eight weekly three-hour sessions, plus an orientation session (for a total of nine weeks), as well as a 4-hour meditation retreat on the weekend between the fourth and fifth sessions. MSC participants are asked to commit to a) attending all nine sessions and b) practicing self-compassion meditation for at least 30 minutes per day for the duration of the program.
