Dr. Hyehyun Paek is a psychiatrist at Numinus Montreal. She obtained her medical degree from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She completed her psychiatry residency at McGill University in 2020. After graduating, she received her certificate in Integrative Psychiatry from the Integrative Psychiatry Institute based out of University of Colorado. She also completed a one-year professional training in Compassionate Inquiry, a trauma-focused psychotherapeutic approach developed by Dr. Gabor Maté and Sat Dharam.
Hyehyun’s approach to mental health focuses on the whole person rather than just on the symptoms. She believes in empowering patients to take charge of their own wellbeing and facilitates this through supportive listening and unconditional positive regard.
Hyehyun has a special interest in spirituality and its connection to mental health. She brings enthusiasm, passion and curiosity to her role at Numinus. She is very grateful to be part of the psychedelics team during this exciting time of growth in mental healthcare.
